colourless glass, of conical form, the body with applied rim and inset medallion, the rim with gilt edging, cord and chain border on a red ground, incised dedication on a gilt band: "Ach laß mein Herz in deiner Lieb und Freud entzünden, ich alles was ich hab dir gib, damit dein Herz möcht finden", a medallion containing the polychromed half-length portrait, outlined with gilt edging, cord, leaf frieze and title on a red ground, interior decorated with a scene depicting a horseman and én camaieu, inscribed: "Die Kayserliche Reitschule" (Imperial Riding School), inscribed below: "Mildner fecit in Gutenbrunn 1799", on a gilt ground, the ring base decorated with incised scenes, equestrians, and enthroned Empress , supported by- and flanked by draperies, bearing the coat-of-arms on a red ground, Height: 12,4 cm, Wallern, Southern Bohemia, probably studio of F. Schreiber, Wallern 1878-1944; A rare and elaborate copy of a glass by Johann Josef Mildner, Kaltenberg 1765-1808, Gutenbrunn, Lower Austria, dated 1799 (Ru)

Marie Antoinette, (Vienna 2.11.1755-16.10.1793 executed at Paris), Queen, daughter of Maria Theresia, 1770 married the future King Louis XVI.
